Pope Invites Charismatics, Pentecostals and Evangelicals to Celebrate Pentecost

Francis has invited thousands of Charismatic Catholics and members of the Pentecostal and Evangelical Churches to Rome to celebrate Pentecost within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the Catholic Charismatic renewal.

The Pope will conduct a prayer vigil on June 3 on the eve of Pentecost, at the Circus Maximus in Rome, an open field that was the site of an ancient Roman stadium used for car races. Participants will join the pope the morning after Pentecost at Mass in St. Peter's Square.
In doing so, the Catholic Church is trying to appropriate the charismatic movement that accounts for about 30% of all Christians. Almost every week we see this pope making dramatic progress towards the creation of a unified Christian church. Of course, under the papacy.
